Product Description

Gitterboxes are one of the most well-known material handling units in the industry. The metal boxes weigh approximately 70 kg and have a volume of approximately 0.8 m³. Each box can carry a load of up to 1500 kg and the maximum capacity can reach 6000 kg when multiple boxes are stacked on top of each other. As mentioned above, Gitterboxes can be stacked up to seven high, in which case it is important not to load more than 1500 kg per box.

On the front of the Gitterbox pallet, there are two flaps that allow the box to be opened and closed. These flaps also facilitate the loading of goods into storage units. As a standard, the year of manufacture and the name of the manufacturer must be marked on each Gitterbox. According to UIC 435-3 standard, Gitterbox quality is an important criterion and critical, major and minor defects are evaluated in detail in our industry.

FAQ

Gitterbox are durable and stackable metal transport boxes used especially in industrial sectors. It usually consists of steel wire mesh and a sturdy frame. Its purpose is the safe, organised and efficient transport and storage of heavy, bulky or irregularly shaped products. Gitterboxes are accepted as standard material handling units in many sectors such as automotive, metalworking, production and logistics. It provides both safety and facilitates material tracking during transport.

A standard Gitterbox weighs approx. 70 kg and offers a volume of 0.8 m³. Each one is capable of carrying loads of up to 1500 kg. One of the most remarkable features is that they are stackable; when used correctly, they can be stacked up to 7 storeys on top of each other. However, in this case, a maximum load limit of 1500 kg per box should be observed. This stacking capacity saves space in warehouses and logistics areas and increases operational efficiency.

Thanks to their robust steel frame construction and wire mesh walls, Gitterboxes are both durable and allow the contents to be seen from the outside. Two flaps on the front surface provide easy access to the products inside, making loading and unloading quick and practical. In addition, this structure is designed to be compatible with transport equipment such as forklifts, so it can be easily transported in industrial environments.

Gitterboxes must be manufactured in accordance with UIC 435-3 standard. This standard covers criteria such as product durability, dimensional accuracy, welding quality and stacking safety. The year of manufacture and manufacturer's name must be labelled on each Gitterbox. Critical, major and minor defects are analysed in detail during the quality inspection. This is of great importance for both safe use and traceability in international logistics processes.
